2. What is my lesson day and time?
Unless you have been contacted by me about a change, your day and time are the same from last year.
3. Who is my teacher?
Trond Saeverud will teach students on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Simon Bilyk will teach students on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
4. When is Mrs. Gallucci coming back?
Mrs. Gallucci plans to return the week of November 2, 2009
5. What is the new fall tuition?
New fall tuition rates are:
Weekdays:
½ hour = $70 per month
45 minutes = $102
1 hour = $136
Families who receive multi-child discounts or have made other arrangements with me will receive a private e-mail outlining the rate that needs to be paid.
6. Who do I pay?
Please make checks payable to either Trond Saeverud or Simon Bilyk. Cash or money order is also acceptable. We cannot accept credit or debit cards, or make auto transfers from bank accounts.
7. How does my substitute teacher know how to teach me?
Your assigned teacher received a history of your study from me. He is aware of of everything he needs to know in order to help you continue your study until I return.
8. Do the substitutes know how to teach viola?
Yes, many violinists are versed in viola and vice versa.
9. I need to change my lesson time this week, who do I call?
E-mail or call Laura Gallucci at least 24 hours in advance in order to arrange a time change. I will be managing the schedule from home. If you wait until less than 24 hours in advance, I may not have enough time to arrange a switch.
10. I need to cancel this week, who do I call?
E-mail or call Laura Gallucci at least 24 hours in advance in order to cancel a lesson and be eligible for a make up. Only sudden illness or emergency excuses will be given a make up on less than 24 hours notice.
11. Do I need to get new lesson books?
No, the substitute teachers are prepared to use the materials you already possess and work out of.
12. Will my teacher be willing to go over my:
-school orchestra music
-BSYO music
-All-state audition music
-other ensemble music
Yes, the substitutes are instructed to review these things with you in lessons, and anything else that is important to your participation in a school or outside music ensemble. They are also very well-prepared to handle preparation for any auditions, such as All-state 2009.
13. Are there fall recitals?
No, there is no way I can arrange fall recitals in lieu of my absence. I will simply provide more recital dates for Spring 2010.
14. I need a make up lesson, what do I do?
Do what you have always done, visit www.lauragallucci.com and look at the timeslots available link. If there is a day and time you want to attend, call or e-mail me and I will arrange to have you take that day and time.
15. I need to speak to my teacher outside of lessons, what do I do?
Please contact Laura Gallucci about the nature of the issue and I will find out the best way the substitutes would like to contact you about it.
